PEORIA – Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his Champion American Values PAC (CAVPAC) today announced the endorsement of Congressman Darin LaHood for the 16th Congressional District of Illinois.
“Secretary Pompeo has dedicated his life to service of our country, and I am grateful to have his endorsement,” said LaHood. “In service, Mike has been a constant champion of our conservative values, fighting for Midwest agriculture and protecting our national security. As a former cavalry officer, Member of Congress, CIA Director, and Secretary of State, he is on the frontlines fighting against the Democrats’ radical agenda. Secretary Pompeo knows we are in the fight of our generation, and I look forward to working with him to take back the House and fire Speaker Pelosi for good.”
“Congressman Darin LaHood is a proven champion of freedom, economic prosperity, and our Midwest values, and I am proud to endorse his re-election,” said Secretary Mike Pompeo. “Having served with Darin, I saw firsthand his commitment to our farmers, law enforcement, and protecting our national security on the House Intelligence Committee. Darin understands our country’s challenges and the need for sound, conservative leadership. We need Darin in Congress to take back the House in November.”
Michael R. Pompeo served as the 70th Secretary of State of the United States, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and was elected to four terms in Congress representing the Fourth District of Kansas. As our nation’s most senior diplomat in the Trump Administration and President Trump’s chief negotiator, Pompeo helped to craft U.S. foreign policy based on our nation’s founding ideals that put America First.
LaHood, who is the National Finance Chair for the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) and a co-chair of the Trump-Pence campaign in 2020, is running for reelection in the 16th Congressional District of Illinois. LaHood is endorsed by former President Trump and former Vice President Pence for re-election. He has also been endorsed by Republicans throughout the 16th Congressional District.
